Enter the required information and the program automatically and instantly emails your users with their chosen user name, password and the link to enter the protected area. The email will prompt the user to print and save the email.
The sign up form also can:
- Retrieve forgotten passwords and have them sent again to the user via email instantly.
- The sign up form checks to see if a user name AND/OR email address has already been issued or used and that the email address is a valid format.
- Checks that all "required" fields have been filled out
- Email comes to you, the administrator/site owner, that someone has registered (if desired.. this can be turned off).
- Allows users to change their email address, and other info (NOT the password or user name).
- Members can also delete their own accounts using the sign up form.
As the site administrator/site owner you will have access to:
- The registered user data base
- Bulk email all users (each registered user receives their own mail.. all addresses are NOT CC'd in the headers) via an easy to use web page form.
- Access to the full database to download to your computer and add these email & postal address to your current records.
- Ability to delete users.
All user names and passwords are encrypted on the server for security reasons. The database is located in a completely separate directory than the protected area.
The sign-up form is has been customized to gather the info YOU need and will integrate directly into your existing site.
Your pages need some modification:
If you already have a shopping area, text will be added to each link into the
shopping area to reflect that sign-up is now required, a link to the sign up, a
link to the forgot password, a link to edit your information, and notice
"have your user name handy before you enter the shopping area."
The only draw back to this or any automated
system of this type is the program can not check for valid info..
For instance.. if someone has no license and makes up a number.. the program
will accept it.. If however you have the owner notification set to ON and you
see a new user request with obvious forged info- you can simply go into the
admin area and remove the user. The new user notice contains all the info the
user typed in, so you can email them and get the correct info or explain why
their account was removed.
