2002 Nail Cruise Recap

Thank you again to everyone whom attended the first annual T.E.A.M. nail tech networking cruise aboard the Nautica Queen on Monday 5.20.2002. The event was a hugh success. The time went so fast but, we still had allot of fun. Here's what one attendee had to say ~ this email is from Pam (of Pam's Nail Designs) who ~ drove in from Cortland, Ohio:

Hi Teks, I just had to tell you what a great time I had on the Nail Cruise that our very own "Spankee" put together for us! It was fabulous! She promised it would be an annual event, and I'd like to make my reservation for next year NOW please!

She had a marvelous goodie bag of product samples! Acrylic kits, tips, a sample issue of "Ohio Stylist and Salon" magazine, with a note saying there would be a years worth to come! A Nailtek Formula II polish, Blueberry hand and body lotion and lots more!

The ship was just lovely! The "Nautica Queen" was really hard to find, but worth the search! At one point, we were on the OTHER side of the river, staring at the Nautica Queen and trying to figure out how the heck we were supposed to get over to it! LOL! Thanks to some very nice Cleveland natives who gave us directions! (Several Times!) We finally made it over to the ship!

Spankee had everything so organized! She was there to meet us, and give us our boarding passes. We enjoyed a delicious buffet, with a lemon cake drizzled with Raspberry sauce for dessert! I was hoping they would let us take home the extras! I actually won a Premium Acrylic Kit in the raffle! I kept telling my friends that I had the lucky ticket and it was the first one she drew! Nice kit! I can't wait to try it!

Michelle Rathburn from the State Board of Cosmetology was there to answer our questions! She was such a lovely person! Its so nice to put a face with those who are behind the scenes! I could have talked with her for another couple of hours! Before we knew it, the cruise was over! I also got to meet my internet friend Debbie from Ohio live and in person! It was so nice to be able to share ideas with her! I'm looking forward to seeing more of Debbie!

As the grand finale, as if it could get any better, Spankee had FRAMED certificates for us at the end of the cruise! They are beautiful! We were all treated like royalty on our Educational Cruise! And to think I actually got 2 CEU's just for attending! Keep my name on the list for next year! Great Job Spankee!
