How do I stop those annoying pop-ups in AOL to sell me things?

You know all those annoying offers that pop on when you sign on to AOL? here's how to get rid of them:

Sign on to AOL
Go to KEYWORD "My AOL"
Choose Preferences
Choose Marketing Preferences
Choose Setup
Choose Popup preferences

In each area, read all the choices, the please stop offering me all this stuff choice(s) are usually the last one or two options. In some cases you must type an X in the box then click send, in other cases you click on the choice and more windows pop up to confirm your choice. In either case, after you have read the message that your choice was accepted or sent, click cancel to move onto the next option..
