I removed the old posts on this topic because photbucket changed everything there! So we'll start fresh and clean Smile

Create or sign into your photobucket account www.photobucket.com

First lets change some settings in your photobucket account:

====================

(you'll need to upload at least 1 image I think.. I don't think these options will show without an image uploaded)

Follow the link to upload the image.
You can choose to have the image resized for you right then and there.. a good size for posting to the forums is 640x480 "Large" -- and for Avatars, choose 100x75 "Tiny" -- choose your size before slecting the image to upload

Browse to your image, select it, click OPEN. done..

===============

Navigate back to your image
On the right side there is a box that says: Share this image.. there is a bunch of icons and the word more>> Click the more>>
At the top of the pop up there.. there is 3 tabs:
Post to website
Send email
Get link code <<-- click this one

in the middle of that window it says: IMG for bulletin boards & forums
Check off the box for Clickable thumbnail and Full size options
Show links in my albums: always should be checked
Click save

now when you go to your photobucket the proper links will be easy to grab

==================

so lets go get the code now for posting your photos to the forums..
When you go to either your main photobucket page or an individual image you will see the link codes there by each image..

IMG Code [img]http:// (and it continues on for the rest of the code which is different for each image)
This option will display the picture as it is at photobucket, no resizing is done

IMG Thumb [url=http:// (and it continues on for the rest of the code which is different for each image)
This option will display a "thumbnail" of the image clickable to see the larger version

click ONCE in either code box and you will see a little notice the code has been copied..

Now you can create a new post or reply in the forums

click in the Message Body box
hold down the ALT key and tap the V key (to paste)
or
right click your mouse and choose paste
or
use the File menu and choose Edit >> Paste

Voila, done.. add whatever else you want to the message body, preview and submit.

==================================

Avatars..

An avatar is noting more than a small image - usually one that reflects who YOU are, and are primarily used in forums like this one.

In your profile you can choose one of the avatars we have made available, or you can link to your own image.

To use your own image, simply upload your image (as described above) choosing 100x75 Tiny as the size.

Navigate to your picture, and choose the IMG CODE code, the little notice "Copied" should appear when you click the code there.

Log into yur forum account and go to the My Profile link
Scroll down to the Avatar section and click in that box.
hold down the ALT key and tap the V key (to paste)
or
right click your mouse and choose paste
or
use the File menu and choose Edit >> Paste
Code:
this is what it will look like (not exactly, each image will be different)
[IMG]http://i333.photobucket.com/albums/m369/myaccount/my_image.jpg[/IMG]

Simply delete the [IMG] from the beginning and the [/IMG] from the end and save your profile.

That should do it!!
