Home study beauty course
#1
Hi All

I am a single mum who is looking to change career form an air hostess to beauty therapist. As you can imagen am restricted both with time and money. I can't really afford paying £3000 to do a private nvq course and I can't commit to attending a college regularly on a weekly basis..... However I wanted to complete a home study beauty therapy course with the open college.com which is cheaper and will give me an ncfe qualification (which I know is not recognised but has the same units as NVQ level 2) I was then looking at paying a local training company in my area to complete the practical units with them waxing, massage...... This will working out cheaper for me and will give me more flexibility. But would this qualify as a full nvq leve 2 qualification so I could then eventually go on to study the nvq level 3 and be qualified to work in a salon.

Thanks in advance for any information

Amy
