Need Help With White Nails
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, I am not a nail technician but I need advice on a problem with white nails.

I am a 42 year old male. As soon as I hit 40 I noticed the nails on my feet getting white, my hands look normal, so I did some searching on the internet and I found a list medical problems that could cause it, which scared me a bit.

The next time I went to the doctor I mentioned it, but all my test came back fine. I am 100% healthy.

Next I went into a nail salon for the first time in my life and had a pedicure. Even after sanding down the nails as much as she could, only a slight bit of zig zagged pinkish color came through, which looked really odd. The nail tech covered my nails with a flesh/beige colored polish and applied a matte top coat.

Has anyone else ran into this problem? Is there any way to solve it?

First, I'm sorry you are having problems with your nails. That's a bummer.
As nail technicians we are not doctors and we cannot diagnose nor are we qualified to. However if you went to the doctor and your tests were negative for anything health related that sure is a relief!!!

The only thing I would suggest you could try is a product called DR G's. You can research it online and see if it sounds like something that would work for you. I couldn't hurt.

I've have suggested it to clients who have abnomalties as the product claims to restore your nails to a healthier state.

Check it out. Hope it helps. But you must be diligent in its use.

The product is available at Sally beauty supply. Also it's not a good idea to have your nail plate thinned so much. This could cause severe nail trauma, nail loosening and loss which could lead to infections. Smile

Good luck
