I thought it would be nice to have proof of OPI's Gel Color easy removal so I made a little video of it today. Sorry the quality isn't the best, my hubby was the camera man, but you can pretty much see how easy and fast it was. My method is listed in the video.

The only issue I have had with removing Axxium from clients is after they have had it on for months. Just getting a fill of color every 2 weeks. I had one lady that had been wearing it for 6 months with nothing but a fill. It would not soak off! it took for ever to file off. I will never fill again! lol

This isn't Axxium. It's the new gel polish.

Thanks for the video Colleen. Have been wondering about the removal process for quite some time since I did not have good luck with axxium. When you have a chance, will you be able to describe the 2 products: gelish and opi gel color? Thanks. Really appreciate it.

Hi Ne,
Not sure what you needed exactly but here's some info I have for you: (please keep in mind this is NOT Axxium I'm talking about, it's the OPI gel color that just came out)-
Both can be cured in an LED light.
Cures in seconds. Gelish Base 10, color 30 each, top 30
OPI 30 each coat of all. Darker colors may need more.

I like OPI's light cuz you can cure all 5 nails at once.

Both have beautiful colors, both go on very smoothly. I usually can't wear anything on my nails cuz it doesn't stick, but I wore OPI for over a week and only had slight peeling on one thumb, and that was from work and using acetone to remove my client's gel polish. Could have just redone it but I wanted to change my color to silver for Christmas/New Years. : )

I gently file the top coat of each before I start the removal process. Both remove nicely, but I have to say OPI was a lot faster. I love it!!!

Hi Colleen!
I'm just curious... was the product 2 weeks old or did you just apply it and removed it?
I find when the gel polish is "fresh" it removes way better. It "sticks" to the nail better when it's worn for a while...

I had it on for 10 days. The longest I've ever been able to wear gel polish. As stated above, It still looked good and I only removed it because 1 thumb had peeled due to having contact with acetone and I could have fixed it but i decided to change my color. Big Grin
