When I bought my first efile, I didn't do enough research, so I didn't know what I was looking for. I got my M-1 by Erica (which is a portable efile) at the Premier Orlando Show last year. I only went to one other booth befor me I purchased mine. Not saying I'm not happy with it, because I am, but I definitely should have asked other techs what they use, what kind of hand piece is best if you use it often and don't hand file at all, if it's loud, how many RPMs does it have, etc. I say go to a show and try out all the efiles there and talk to the reps about warranties and repairs and make sure you're getting the most for your money. It's like a car - it's an investment and you're gonna have it for ad least 5 years or more if you take good care of it. So you wanna make sure you're happy with it. I hope this helps.
