Booth rent vs commission
#1
I am new and trying to decide between booth rent and commission. I have been told commission but hate to only get 40% of the service amount i am doing.. Any advice?

If you are new, try working on commission. It reduces your risk of loss if/when you aren't making money.

In most cases-- especially when starting out-- what you end up forking out on expenses as a booth renter far exceeds the 40% you lose on a commisson basis. At least with commission, you only pay when you make money, instead of getting hit with bills like booth rent that are due whether you brought in any income that week at all or not.
