I'm looking for an easy to use website that I'd fairly inexpensive. I'd also like to have my own .com. name. What do you use? Tell me why you love or hate yours.. I currently have style seat but it doesn't have enough places to put all my salon info. Thank you for your help.
Hi Tania,
I build my own websites as I do not like waiting for others to make changes that I need to have done.
My current website is hosted by Merchant Moms which is great if you have retail you will be doing because the shopping cart is built in. And it is a very easy to use system. She also has template designers she can refer you to. You can see an example of this type of site at (that is my current site).

Another option is to find a webhost that has Joomla sites available. Just do a google search. I am currently building a new website for the salon since we moved (wanted a new look) and am hosting my own site and using Joomla. You can find nice salon templates at google for use with joomla. I would recommend paying a little extra and having the template installed for you. You can see an example of this type of site at (this is the new site that I've just begun to build so NONE of the text on the site is correct).

There are also a lot of salon builder websites out there. Just google search for "salon website hosting".

Hope this helps.

I used Vistaprint because I really like that my cards, website, and stationary all are uniform. I admit they can be a pain in the butt with editing but since my site is very simple. It's not too bad for me. I may look into something else when my business grows or I may just keep them and increase the number of pages on my site. Feel free to check out SuiteTee.
