What to wear?
#1
As a nail tech, I have always thought we should dress fasionalbly modest, and have our hair, nails and make-up done to look professional. As a mobile tech, I have been wearing black pants, a nice top and rubber soled shoes (to make carrying and walking easier).

A couple weeks ago I was at an apartment on the third floor and it was very stuffy. Then last night dressed in black I worked in a home that was very warm probably close to 90 degrees. I am rethinking my entire wardrobe.

As a mobile tech in the summer, would it be unprofessional to wear a t-shirt with my logo on it and a pair of shorts with some cute tennis shoes? I would love your honest opinion!

I should state that I am not 21, nor am I a size 6, so please keep that in mind....

I think as long as your put together your fine. Shorts with cute shoes and a tshirt can be very workable. Nice clothes can look sloppy and casual clothes can look great. I love the tshirt with logo idea. Of course I cut all my tshirts so they fall of the shoulder Smile I am not 21 nor a size 6 either but I think I make everything look good hahaha. You can pull it off.

I see no problem with it. I don't wear shorts myself unless they come to my knees but that's coz I just don't have the legs for it anymore! I wear jeans mostly, but always something comfortable and stretchy. I think flip flops are acceptable too, as long as your toes are done.

I would suggest a beige knee length short with a nice pair of simple sneakers (such as Vans style). Old Navy has some nice new ones that are somewhat colorful yet simple. And a Tee with your logo on the front (maybe your phone number or logo on the back too) would be nice.If you're hair is done and a cute pair of earrings you will look professional and summery.

I think it really depends what image you want to project. I wear Lucky jeans (cuz I love the fit and cute pockets) to work and dressy T-shirts or peasant style blouses. Hard to explain, not really just a T-shirt, but cute tops with lots of color and I love the sparkly shirts that have been out the last couple years. I love Bass sandals and have collected about 7 pair over the last three years because they have been making the beaded and sequined ones, so they fit my style and are very comfortable and a nice low heel makes them easy to wear all day.

My hair is always fresh, and I try to keep my nails done and wear the jewelry that I retail, but I rarely wear make-up. Seriously, I don't think anyone cares what I wear. My shop aims at bright, fun, and intimate and clients quickly become old friends.

I do love the idea of a logo'd shirt and have thought about designing some and wearing them (and retailing of course). Maybe someday...

I wear capri's in the summer because the just below knee length is more flattering on my figure than shorts (also not a size 6 these days, lol!) My daughter wears black leggings in both capri and regular length year round. We had logo T shirts done recently and got a lot of compliments on them. I picked up the $8 T shirts at Target and had the logo done by a talented local graphic designer.

I wonder what your views are on tattoos? Hope no one minds me asking here. I have tats on my arms. Nothing offensives just a lock and key....

I think tatts are pretty acceptable these days....as long as it's not suggestive, I don't see a problem with it.
