Suggestions for comfy pedicure chair

Does anyone have any suggestions for a comfy pedicure chair? I use a footsie bath am and and building an elevated platform for the chair and foot bath to rest on. I would also like to buy a massager that rests on the back of the chair. Every chair I find, has wheels on it and I don't want wheels. I don't want the clients rolling off the platform!! Lol. Im afraid to purchase one online bc how will i know if its comfy enough?? What do u all use?

Thanks!

We use Footsie Bath and really comfy wingback chairs that I picked up at Goodwill for $35 each. But we are moving into a larger location and going to be building a pedi platform so changed chairs. We ended up with a chair from Walmart (regular price $99 but got them on sale for $75 each). They look like high back office chairs but they are not on wheels, have a swivel base, they do recline and have an ottoman with them. I just looked on the website and couldn't find it but did find one similar called Relaxzen Shiastu Massage Chair with Ottoman, Black . This one is $129.

Large leather recliner, no platform needed.

Thanks! The reason I like the platform idea, is bc I wont have to bend over as far to work on the feet. Plus, I don't want to ask the customer to recline, sit up, recline, sit up and so on if they are relaxing. How do u prevent yourself from bending over if they are not reclined? Thanks again!! :-)

That's the reason that I'm going with a platform and the chairs I found at Walmart....I wanted to raise the client so that I don't have to bend so much....very hard on the back, especially after doing this for over 20 years....it begins to take a toll on you. I will say that I purchased one of the chairs from wally world to try out before buying both and doing the platform and all my clients have loved it so far. Say it's very comfy. trying to decide if I'll be able to use the ottoman that comes with it or not.

That's the point of the recliner, to have clients recline and relax. To avoid bending over, our stools are an appropriate height for the position of the client's feet.

Do you do gel toes at all? That's another reason I may need the platform...I don't want to have to bend to work on the toes and the toes goes in and out of the light so much that the client would have to recline (so that I can work on the toes), sit straight (to cure the toes), recline, sit up, recline...and so on. I'm just worried about it getting to be too much work for the client. I wish I had more room, then I could have a recliner as well!!!

Yes, we do gel on toes, and the clients stay reclined the entire time, just like during pedicures.

Ohh yes! I'm curious too! How does the client cure each layer of gel? Where is the lamp? Do you only do dry pedi's as well? Thanks!!

I'm curious too because all the recliners I've seen would put the feet at a really odd angle for a lamp and to actually see the toes to work on them. Wouldn't you be looking at the soles of the feet in a recliner?

The client bends at the knees when they place their feet in the light units.
