OPI False Advertising/
#1
Yesterday my client who is allergic to Formaldehyde came in with some new polish to use that she purchased at Ulta. While there she asked a salesperson why did Opi Start to Finish say Formaldehyde free and none of their other polishes said that. Weren't they all supposed to be the Three Free ? Good question... so they called Opi.. The answer was..... if she was allergic to Formaldehyde then she would not want to use the other polishes because they contained Formaldehyde resin... Am I missing something? Is Formaldehyde resin the same as Formaldehyde or not. How can we tell clients its Three Free, when in fact it is not? I don't know about you but I'm tired of the duplicity. Believe it or not people are waking up to what is going on around them in their environments. What's in their shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste etc... I don't want to be a part in creating problems for someone else, using products that we're kind of misled on... sorry about the rant, it just goaded me. Just an FYI

"The concern over formaldehyde has also brought the spotlight on tosylamide/formaldehyde resin (TSF resin). Many people see the “formaldehyde” in TSF resin and think it is a variant of formaldehyde. But TSF resin is a completely different chemical compound that looks and functions differently than formaldehyde."
