I use towels. I bought some off an aesthetician closing down. I know you can get them from the suppliers. I would think something like the blue shop towels (like industrial paper towel) would work great too, but I wanted white!
I change for each customer and wipe the table underneath with a Norwex anti-bac cloth.

White terry hand towel covered by a patient bib (paper with plastic backing available from dental supplies).

I use the blue shop towels - lint free and soft. I tape down a strip of two and then put a couple of singles layered on top of that. Then as I get done filing, soaking off or whatever I can just take the top one off and have a clean one to start the next process, polish, gel etc. works great.

I, too, use a terry towel with a patient bib. Terry towel on top for fills because it grabs all the filing dust really well. Patient bib for application part of the process.

I use Blech Safe towels. A new one for each person. I fold it in hlf and once I am done fioling I fold the top half up to cover the dust. These towels last forever. I have had mine for about 6 yrs now and the are just now showing wear. The was up great but they are a bit pricey.

The patient bibs are very affordable - $21.50 for a case of 500.

I use a white cotton towel covered by a patient bib. After the prep filing I fold the bib in half to cover the dust. After finish filing clean the nails and while I'm waiting for the cleanser to dry I throw away the patient bib, remove my gloves, fold the cotton towel over to cover the dust - then everything is nice and clean when I do the top coat.
