i would like to ask what kind of nail wipes you use.i have used ibd wipes which i love but they are expensive to use.is there anything out on the market that does what those wipes do but is costing less?
I use those blue shop paper towells that a lot of girls on here use. You just cut them up. They work well for me.
could you please give me a link so i can have a look on them?
are those ones lint free?
I like Hands-Down, but they are kind of pricy.
I use hands down nail wipes with the plastic back for everthing but gels. I can't remember the name of my lint free wipes, they are square and come in a paper wraping.
i also use hands down and i love them but i would really want to try something different for gel as all these leave small fiber and it gets messed up.any ideas?
I am using sams club coffee filters that i hole punch with the large Martha Stewart heart shaped paper punch. Its cute and cheap. I am checking into some industrial towels from a local supplier in MO once i get the price of a box ill post it ladies.
Nothing is lint free.
Me too, cut own, I use blue shop towels to blot acrylic brush, Kirkland hand towels for other wipes (less lint than most) and brawny cut in strips for toe separators for most clients.
I spend some time cutting every so often but I have exactly what I want.... and nice and cheap.
The IBD ones are white and I think a tiny bit less than 1/2" thick. The foam I get at JoAnn's is a light green and exactly the same material. Last time I bought some it was $9.99 a yard. The IBD wipes are 80 count for about $4 each. To make storage easier I cut the yard into several pieces and put them in a plastic storage box. Then I just cut as many as I'll need for a day or two. To compare costs, a yard, cut into 1"squares equals 162 boxes of IBD wipes! No contest!
Sorry I can't do a pic for you...no camera!
if it's foam, how does it hold up with polish remover?
Yep, that's the stuff! I just buy a yard or so from JoAnn's when I'm in town. I'd bet that you can find it at any fabric/craft store.
Someone asked how it holds up to polish remover. It works great!
Wonder if makeup sponges would work it looks close to the sponge at the craft store. if so......
I can get these at dollarama in a bag with assorted sizes.
i can't see why make up sponges won't be ok.i might try that also!
