all products lifting on a client
i need you feedback on something this is an sos
ok i have this lady that is about 80 years old she used to have uv gel then it started to lift so we ve switched to odorless acrylic from clarité. it was yellowing a bit and finally after a few months it started to lift . so i switched to shellac first time was ok second was a disaster, so i tried harmony gelish with the gel to renforce the nail the white jar it was even worse after a day 3 nails popped off. so next time i guess it s gonna be a regular manicure but i m a bit disappointed since it works fine on other clients . we think it s maybe her blood pressure treatment that does something i ve ordered a harder builder gel from harmony gelish the black jar one and some acrygel system from mia secret i go for cheap trial solutions because i m a bit desperate on this one . any similar experiences? if yes how did you solve the issue ? she wants something to protect her natural nails that stays on ![]() any help will be much appreciated my nails blog in french : http://miaminails.skyrock.com my art site : http://www.twistart.net |

RE: all products lifting on a client
Hi, first of all I want to say sorry your having problems, and yes I have had the exact same problems with a sweet 70 year old (at the time) client. She was on meds for High Blodd pressure as well. Exact as you describe. First everything is great and then by the second or third fill it all fell apart. This was with acrylic. But I was able to fix the problem by switching to gel. I dont know what system you use, but YN with an acid primer (TT) and two coats of protien bond then 30 seconds in the UV lamp and then proceed as usual with my gel fill over overlay.
She put her glue bottle away and only had the occasional nail come off if she went longer than 3 weeks, but for the nost part no problems. Do you have any Linkage? I'm going to suggest you try that - it is a miracle product for lifters. Try using it with your traditional UV gel (not gel polishes) and see if that helps her.

And I get better at it every year. (6 years gel, 17 yrs acrylic) So funny, I was told by a YN mentor that she heard I was an amazing gel tech, LOL hahaha. shocked the pants off of me,! Amazing??? No just love it. *****Cindy Nail Designer of 18 years Nail Instructor Gel and Acrylic Specialist Former Young Nails Mentor and Distributor Former Continuing Education Priovider for Sate of North Carolina "Don't make someone a priority in your life when your just an option in theirs." |

I had a lady who had the same problem. Linkage from TEN gels fixed the problem and also I use a cone bit around the cuticle area after pushing back the cuticles. It has helped ALOT.

RE: all products lifting on a client
ok here s my experience after testing different products
linkage work great on my shellac clients that tend to have some chipping and it also worked good on my "lifting lady" i used it with acrygel from mia secrets since my young nails gel kit took forever to get there . it works good for now i also used the no lift primer from tammy taylor my clients doesn t like the smell so i tell them the more it stinks the better it works lol and it actually does graet on people that used to have a bit of lifting so all you advices helped me a lot thank you all for your feedback ![]() (01-22-2012 05:00 PM)*****Cindy Wrote:i haven t retried it yet guess i need to find myself an innocent victim to practice on(01-21-2012 06:04 PM)datgirltwista Wrote: thank you both for your answers
