Fan/Dust collection - which is best?
#1
Has anyone used this fan/dust collection system?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03Nw9I6UD...ture=share

It looks great, but I'd love a review from more than just the one place here I know that uses/sells it!

I'm doing nails in a small home salon and acrylic smell gets thru the house, so I need to figure something out!

Any other suggestions are totally appreciated!

Here is a thread on people who like and have tried the Valentino Beauty Pure. I haven't but remembered the thread as I was thinking about getting one.

Good Luck! Smile

I burn a candle and my son could not tell I was using acrylic. Another option is gel - no smell.

Thank you! I'll get in the habit of searching for threads before I post a new topic again! ooops! (still new here, I'll get it eventually)

I'll be heading in to see a Valentino in action this week.

I do gel as well, but I get mostly requests for acrylic - since I've worked with acrylic the most, I'm far more comfortable with it... it's hard to make a permanent switch!

I love my Valentino. It has an adjustable speed control so you can keep it on low during application, and then turn it up for filing.

You know, it's not just about controlling the smell. It's the fumes and dust you need to remove, whether you smell it or not. The smell is a warning.

If you do a search here, Carla Collier did a video showing how it works.

How often do you have to change the filters on the Valentino system?

It depends on how busy, about twice a month. If you get a can of compressed air to clean the filter between clients it will last longer.

Right now it's $50 off and includes 6 free filters

Burning a candle in the same room as you are doing acrylic is a safety hazard--the vapors can follow the heat and combust. Your MSDS should have this information on it.

Has anyone here gone from a Partigone to a Valentino? Which do you like better?
