OPI Gelcolor LED Gel Polish
#1
Wow, so OPI was suppose to have this out this last summer, I had received the OPI Worldnews July-Aug product magazine from my local OPI distributer that had all the info and I have been chomping at the bit to preorder. The Magazine introduced the whole line, the 30 colors, the LED lamp, soak off tabs, and polish remover. Great, the prices was great too, what it came down to was $14.95 a bottle for .5 0z. Less if you bought different variations of thier kits. I was guessing they were trying to compete with Gelish and others since they were late to the party. So I call my distributer to order and guess what? The prices have all changed from the advertised price in thier own product magazine....Misprint I was told.... A big company like OPI? A Misprint? Or did demand make them jack up the price? Compare the Google Worldnews July- Aug magazine and those won't be the prices you can buy them for. Disappointing for sure!

We still can't get it here in the UK. I rang our distributor recently and was told that you would not be able to buy the product without their specific training.

OPI have to realise that, since they are so late to the party, most of us have already invested in a gel polish system, had the training, got the T-Shirt etc. Personally I have done Gelicure and Gelish training. I might want a few OPI colours for old times sake, but they can keep it if they insist on a training course I am unlikely to need.

I do like the look of their 5 finger LED lamp though, it will apparently be quite a bit cheaper than the new Harmony 18G

Mine is supposed to be shipped/delivered this week. I caved and bought the whole kit. I think people will want the OPI over Shellac. From what I have read, I think it is a lot like Gelish
