Does your state accept complaints from professionals???
#1
I need each state to report in please..

Does your state accept complaints about salons from professionals or only from consumers??

Please look to see if your state has responded.. if not and you are certain they will or won't please add your state.. if you don't see your state and are not sure, PLEASE!! call your state and ask..

My newest project is to compile this info, post it and start encouraging professionals to complain if they are allowed AND to encourage consumers to complain in either case..

Thanks everyone!!

Montana will accept complaints from anyone. All you have to do is download a special complaint form with instructions from the state website. I have it if you want it.

Debbie, I asked about this while I was speaking to Sue from the state.

Alaska does accept complaints from professionals. There is a gentleman from the Board of Barbers and Hairdressers that investigates complaints, and he can only investigate things in the Statutes.

Complaints about sanitation are refered to the Department of Environmental Something (forgot the rest of it) and she said if I want to make a complaint about that, she can give me the contact information.

i would just like to say that i am in texas and myself and others have repeatedly sent in complaints about an unlicensed nail shop with an unlicensed nail tech in our small town and to no avail. so yes we can complain but the real question is do they do anything. they would prob be all over us who are legal
