OPI is coming out with new LED cured gel polish bottle
#1
So the next generation of OPI extended manicures is on its way. This gel (hybrid) polish is so competitive it is hard to keep up with. Everytime I buy the proper collections, they are already changing. This may be good for those who want to leave Gelish now because of it's selling to public. I'm sure OPI will be happy to take all those professional techs! I haven't gotten word of a release date yet.

It's not a hybrid it will be exactly what it call "GelColor" straight to the point with no fancy name it a gel with color in it, and they skip the hybrid era for the next generation in S/O.

All I can say is iconic bottle with iconic names like I'm not really a waitress, Lincoln park after dark......... I'm all over it.

It will cure in LED (lighting speed) or UV lamp (longer cure time)
I'm saving for OPI LED Light cause I everything I use have the same name on it, oh and did I mention that full hand curing, yes all five fingers in one shot no more two thumbs then four fingers lol.

Laura at the moment I think they are more worry about having a perfect launch then the exact date.

It would be nice to promote a product and everything is readily available when you need it. I will rather wait than getting it in to find out that I can't get base, top, or a certain color lol.

I will let you know when I know the set date.

I completely agree J - better to get it launched right than too soon.

I know you know more about OPI than I do but I am impressed with the company's efforts to keep the products in professional hands.

So ready for this to be launched. I love a lot of the colors of OPI that they will be having. Getting very tired of Shellac not coming out with new colors and the layering is getting old since several colors streak when mixed. Id just rather have the real color. PLUS its double the size of shellac and a $1 cheaper. Supposed to be launched this summer according to the OPI insert of one of the nails mags.

I think I will get mine online and not hold my breath for peels to get it in stock. Takes them forever to get things here sometimes.

Is this new line supposed to be replacing the Axxium soak-off gels? I'm excited to learn more about this!

Am I missing something here? A while back OPI was on the hit list, now we are to singing their praises?

OPI products are sold everywhere - to non professionals.

Look forward to their GelColor being sold on ebay too!

Here we go again!

Pretty much any professional line can be found on Ebay

Not only on ebay but also at "distributors" like Transdesign etc. at WHOSALE prices. Niceeee :?
PS. I'm not talking about OPI Gel polish right now.. just generally polishes/gels/suppplies

Not cool!!

When a professional product is purchased on eBay, the consumer knows they aren't supposed to have it. They are being a little sneaky in their plan Smile. When it is right out there in the supply store to buy it sends a different message. I won't give examples only because the current state of gelish has been discussed thoroughly. I'd rather the company not tell consumers. " this is so easy! You can do it yourself!" on a lighter note. I'm happy for the LED cure. I need to speed things up in application!

Do we seriously have to start b!tching about product sales to the public again? I am so tired of hearing this same thing over and over. How about make one complaint thread and make your peace about every product that annoys ya, instead of turning this excited to see OPI gel polish into one of the downers?

P.S. Nail polish has always been a retail item, hence sold to your client to use at home all on their own. Why is that even thrown into Gel Polish sales? :?

I agree sobeit. It is what it is! I have more important things to worry about.
The manager at my peels store the opi will be out oct, so this means earlier for everyone else. Peels is always behind in releases.

I was confused about one thing in the OPI ad/insert in this months NailPro (just came today).... the ad referred to UV Cure times being faster than the "others"... but the cure times that they specifically highlighted mentioned LED cure. Did anyone see the ad/insert I'm talking about?

I have not got my NailPro yet but if not thing change between now and the launch date, the curing time for UV Lamp should be 1,2,3 just like the Axxium 1 min for base, 2 min for color, and 3 for top.
30 sec for all if cure in the OPI LED Lamp.

I think we all agree about professional products sold to public. But I kind of welcome my clients or other non-prof to go purchase ALL the needed items, including the lamp, run home and slap it on...

They will most likely soon understand WHY one should be licensed to use these products, as they're trying to pick/peel cured gel polish from their cuticles and sidewalls!! Won't be too much longer that they're back paying us, and probably selling off their 'bargain supplies' on ebay!!

Ok stepping down from my soapbox, with a smirk...

Yup yup....I agree...lets not start complaining again people..... just about valid issues.

I notice on here we complain wayyyy too much. Thats why I dont visit as often honestly. Now I complained about CND and their 'lack' of colors...but to me-- thats a valid complaint.
Dont introduce something that is life changing...and then do that to us. It just taint right !!!
But anyhoo......

Im excited about the whole OPI thing, and I think my boss is too. And i would lay odds on that they come out with ALOT more colors straight out of the gate than Shellac.
Which is such a shame...cuz I really love the stuff !!!

I cant wait !!! Yay for OPI !!! Never letting us down... 8)

Wouldnt it be the most IRONIC thing if really, for real-- secretly...that OPI and CND were owned by the same company?? I think that would be a laugh.............If we only knew---right??
