Gelish Structure/Hard Gel
#1
I am new to the gelish brand structure gel. I am changing so that I can use my LED light and save time. I have not been able to find many tutorials on this product. My main question is...If I use the Hard gel first then do I need to buff prior to putting on the gelish polish? Thanks in advance!

After finish filing, cleanse the nails and then you can apply the gelish.

Just to clarify, Structure gel is not a hard gel. It is a soak off gel, thin viscosity, designed to reinforce the natural nail or very short tip extensions. It's removed completely at each visit.

If you apply your foundation (base coat, which is always required) cure and then apply structure gel then yes, we usually cleanse and buff the surface a little. I choose this option for deep grooves or mechanical damage to the nail.

But you also have the choice to apply the structure gel on top of Gelish color, before Top it Off. I prefer this for 2 reasons. First I can strengthen the nail without adding visual weight or bulk to the finished look. Second, I can file all the top it off, structure gel and most color Gelish before removing as usual without increased soaking time.

Gelish Hard Gel is also LED/UV cure and can be used to sculpt any length. You also can fill over it for maintenance. It does not soak off in acetone based removers. It's in black jars.

Thanks for this info on the Structure gel. I'm gonna try applying it on top of the color. Sounds like it makes removal so much easier.
