Brisa lite question...
#1
Let me apologize in advance for what may be a silly question.

I have (and absolutely love) the smoothing set. I generally change my polish every few days so obviously the Brisa Lite breaks down due to the acetone. I was wondering if a non soak off topcoat would help minimize this. I don't have time to redo the Brisa Lite every few days.

Sorry if this sounds like a totally stupid idea.

You're putting regular nail polish over brisa lite smoothing gel? I feel like it may be too flexible and non- soak off topcoat will crack. It's worth a try. I would think you can get away with changing polish a few time since the brisa needs longer to soak. I've only tried the sculpting, but I have been able to get away with gelish recovery under polish and just changing the polish. You could also try two coats of the brisa lite, and maybe with the brisa top coat under the polish too. Lastly you could always file off the color.

It would be regular polish. I use a lot of glitters so there is bound to be some breakdown during removal just because glitters are a beast.
When I tried a polish change the edges got all scuzzy.

Now that I think about it... I think you're absolutely right about it being too flexible. I didn't even think of that. I heard that the sculpting gel "clicks" like a hard gel when tapped with a brush handle. It may be hard enough to stand up to a few polish changes. Thanks for the response!

You don't think you could just put another coat of smoothing on top?

Maybe try the Brisa Lite Sculpting gel as an overlay (that's what I did)? The smoothing gel is just way too porous to leave on while doing other polish changes.

If you are using regular polishes you can use regular polish remover and that won't affect the smoothing gel as long as it is acetone free. That is what i do for people who don't want to remove the gel and just have a color change Smile
