prepping with a bit
#1
I have a favorite bit that I use to clean up the cuticle on the nail plate. Especially wonderful for those clients that have concrete cuticles and lots of it. Since I have used this bit there is no more lifting.. ever.

Do you use a bit? yes or no.

If you dont use a bit, how do you efficiently remove the cuticle on the nail plate?

If you do use a bit, which one do you use?

Thanks so much for your input.

Well look, it's Cindy formerly of oregon Smile hope you are well!

I used to use the same bit for prep, but found it too easy to end up with rings of fire. I don't want that!
I went back to using a hand file for the natural nail.

hi Cindy, what bit do you use for, prep, I use a pencil diamond .And by the way, I never have rings of fire. Pressure is the major key to stay away from getting those... just my own exp. for 25 years...any way, what that bit again ? I love your work.....

I had the same problem with trying to vote...I use a fine, thin, diamond football bit. Never a problem with rings of fire. Works awesome.

Well, slow speed and hardly any pressure still equaled rof. For me. I used the Erika bit, was shown how to properly use it and I don't get rof with any other prep. So I stopped.

I use a file now because I'm not trained yet but when I do, I'll be using an e-file.

I never use an Efile on the nail bed. Always hand prep.

Hi, Thanks for the compliment. I love any prep bit like the ones from Atwood Industries he sells for prepping. I like the diamond pencils and the ones with the small cone diamond, but mostly the pencil bit. I also never have problems with rings of fire. Its all in the pressure, which I dont need with the bits.
Thanks foir your input. And pls whats your real name and facebook addy?
