|Having trouble signing in?|
|Some people are having trouble signing in, their regular password just is not
being accepted. There could be any number of reasons why all of a sudden you
can't log in.
Please understand this password reset process has been put in place to protect the forum from being overrun with spam posts, and actually works quite well in that regard.
Requesting a password reset is a 2 step process. READ the info below, then click Trouble Signing in? to begin
Step 1 - request an authorization code for a new password.
Step 2 - a randomly generated password will come in your email.
Click Trouble Signing in?
Enter the email address you registered with here in the forums, click submit.
The on-screen notice should now say:
An email is being sent to reset your password.
Check your email for the password reset notice.
The code in this FIRST STEP EMAIL mail is NOT an actual reset password, but it is an authorization code to actually request the new password.
Click the link in that mail.
Check/Refresh your email once more for your new randomly generated password.
Now you may log in with your user name for the forums and the password you just received.
Once logged in, head directly to your User Control panel and change the password to something you will remember.
If you have NOT received either of these emails within a few minutes, please use the contact link and tell us so we can help you.
The following are detailed visual instructions. It looks like a lot to do, but I have tested this many times, and it really takes less than 2 minutes to do, I promise.
