could somebody pls help? I usually do acrylic base, file, gel colour, gel seal, file, ibd intense seal. I really want to avoid the last stroke of gel for many reasons but without it my top coat cracks. Could somebody recomand a hard top coat that goes over the gel polish without filling as long as the base is acrylic or hard gel? I prefere the hard top coat because some of my clients work a lot with aceton so the one step gel polish doesn't work because is a soak off...any ideas? tnx a lot...
In my experience, hard gel top coats will not work well over SOG's. Once you use a SOG, you really need to stick with a SOG top coat. The other option would be to switch to a hard gel color & top coat, then the acetone will not be an issue.

My personal favorite is Light Elegance's Super Shiny. It is extremely durable, holds the shine until you file it off and will not discolor or stain, even with hairdressers. Smile
I use Akzentz Shine-on over both Luxio and Options soak off gel colors. It works great for me, but I have only used it with other Akzentz products.
I use mainly Gelish gel polish which is SOG on both my gel manicures and my hard gel enhancements... Only difference is if I am doing a gel mani I use SOG top coat Luxio by Akzentz and for hard gel I do not remove tacky layer of gel polish or file anything. Sticky/tacky gel will stick to the top and should not have cracking. I use Shine on by Akzentz for top coat over my hard gel enhancements, never have any cracking. Now with Acrylic has your base nail, I no longer do acrylics so I am not that experienced, However my husband does here is his recommendation:
First off he does thin natural looking acrylics....File your acrylic has normal procedure at the end, dust, wipe completely clean, do one thin layer of a medium velocity hard gel, cure, proceed with gel polish application followed with hard gel top coat and all done...Once you put that very first thin layer clear gel all through to top coat no filing and no removing tacky layers. Hope that helps!

I love love Akzentz shine on and luxio! They are best I've used by far and I have used them over other brands! I also liked their glow in the dark, Lights-Out and their Gel Play... which is gel paint for hand painted designs for anyone who didn't know what that is... their Gel Play is led curable (or UV) and not too thick... yet thick enough to stay put no running and I have done all sorts of abstract designs with lines & dots etc...

In my experience Shine on that I mentioned ^ above, I have several hairstylist and never any staining! It is tack free so no cleansing required after cure can be used in both LED and UV. Smile
