Full Version: how to have long wear polish?

I have been told to use protein bond on natural nails before polish to help with longer wear,Has anyone tried this ,does it work ,do you have any suggestions as to what does work,Thanks

I learned this recently and have been trying it. On a few people it worked but I think it still depends on your client's lifestyle and nail length. I had clients where it seemed to extend and some not.
After Bond Aid and Protein bond, I basecoat clients with a thin layer of sog base, cure, cleanse, buff with an EXTRA fine buffer (to remove shine) and polish. It's awesome.

I've heard other people say they do this but are you doing this for a manicure or do you charge a service fee for it? Also, do you soak off for every manicure? Do they mind? Thanks.
