how many of you do it ? Pros and Cons?
When I'm not doing spa parties, I will see clients in my home.

Pros: set my own schedule, I choose my clients, use whatever products I want, I create the ambiance for clients in my home, no overhead costs, all earnings are mine.

Cons: poor ventilation for acrylic services, your home/personal living space must ALWAYS be super clean, must be selective about clients (safety measures - can't have everyone in your home), higher liability on your part.

No matter if you work at home or in a salon, you must always keep your personal liability insurance policy current. This is especially important if you work from home. It protects you and your assets.

In addition, you need to make sure it is legal for you to provide services from your home per State Board. If so, you need to make sure you obtain the appropriate permits, pay the appropriate fees and have an inspector come out to your home to make sure it meets the criteria to be operable as a for profit business.
