Shellac is the CND brands gel polish.
The difference between Shellac and other brands gel polishes is that Shellac chemically is a hybrid gel and polish where as others may be pigment gel, etc.
Gel polishes can be in bottles or pots.
Thank you!
Most gel polishes are solvent based - you can tell by smelling the bottle. Solvents can sometimes be the cause of dryness, white spots, brittleness and chipping. 100% gels (like Akzentz Luxio) are 100% gel in a bottle and there is a soak off color line too. There are a few companies that have 100% gel polish. Shellac has become like Kleenex - since they spent a fortune on advertising most clients consider gel polish to be Shellac regardless of the product.
