Did you guys know that you can soak off OPI GelColor off classic (hard) gel?
Normally all the soak off gels have to be filed off when applied on top of hard gel.
Somehow OPI comes off nicely. Bonus! Smile

I think any soak off gel polish can be soaked off of hard gel. Hard gel is impervious to acetone so The SOGP like OPI gelcolor, shellac, gelish, and so on would soak off.

From my experience they don't. They might soften up a bit but they don't release like they would from the natural nail. OPI on the other hand does, it releases clean.

Anna, this is one area I've had a hard time with the OPI SOG. Do you use the base coat when putting it over hard gel?

That's so strange, I have done it with shellac and gelish where my client had a few hard gels ( NSI balance gel ) as an overlay on broken nails for a while. I soaked all her nails, and both lines soaked right off all nails, including the hard gel.

Normally I wouldn't but with OPI I did, maybe that helped releasing the color..?

I'll try it next time. I wouldn't recommend doing it over hard gels without a base.
