Mindy Borrego
Granby, CT
Mindy received her first manicuring license from the state of Colorado in 1987.
The following year she returned to her home state of Connecticut where she
opened "Mindyfingers," a nails-only salon. She was the columnist of 'Net Notes
for Nailpro, and still serves as a member of that magazine's advisory board. In
1997 she was selected 1st runner-up for Nails magazine "Nail Technician of the
Year;" the next year she was 4th runner-up for Nailpro's "World's Top
Tech,"--the first nail tech to be so honored by both major industry
publications. She frequently judges nail competitions nationally as well as
internationally, and held the position of Head Judge for the Nailpro
competitions. She received her Creative Nail Design Master Nail Technician
certification in 1996. In addition, she is a Nailpro cover tech and has worked
on the set of Saturday Night Live doing nails on the guest artist. She can also
be found (occasionally in the lounge--with an Appletini in hand) on the annual
"Nail Those Profits at Sea" cruises.
Mindy received her second manicuring license (as well as her demonstrator
license) in 2006 from the state of Massachusetts. She then became the nail
technology instructor at the New England Center for Cosmetology Education in
Northampton, MA (2006-2007); she went on to serve as the nail technology
instructor at Kay Harvey Academy in West Springfield, MA (2008-2009). She is
currently employed as the sole nail technician at Mitchell Hair Design by Bill
Francis in Simsbury, CT.

Vicki
Peters
La Brea, Califorina
Vicki Peters, the most experienced tech in the competition arena has over 25
years experience as a competition champion, model, judge and competition
director. With over 250 magazine cover shoots, Vicki has the best "eye" for
nails, photo concepts and what it takes to do the winning nails.

Darlene Sammons
Chattanooga, Tennessee
Darlene is a cosmetologist and esthetician who has been doing nails for 26 years in Tennessee. She entered her first nail competition in 1996 in Atlanta. Her second competition she entered she placed 3rd in 1998 at the Great American Nail Faire. She has been a Creative Nail Design Master nailtech since 1996 and has worked in the past as an educator for Backscratchers Salon Systems, AEFM, and Vicki Peters Signature Series. She is currently the Director of Esthetics and Nail Technology at Miller-Motte Technical College in Chattanooga, TN and is an educator for Young Nails. She also has certificates in Reflexology, Neuromuscular therapy, hot stone therapy and is a certified Nailpro competition judge. She is a licensed massage therapist and maintains a small massage practice at her home.

Diana Bonn
Muncie, Indiana
Diana had been a competition judge for 4 years, trained by Vicki Peters.
She has been a nail technician for 12 years and owned her own salon for 8
years.
Since 2000, Diana has been an electric file educator, CEU educator for
Indiana, and an educator for Maly's and private accounts teaching OSHA,
State Laws, Diseases, Sanitation and also Nail Classes.
She currently is a member of the INTA task force, contributor to both
NAILS and Nail Pro magazines, had a hand in changing laws in several
states concerning MMA, and is a nail technician advisor for Indiana State
board of Cosmetology.

Simmy Bredal-Bell
Brick, NJ
Simmy is celebrating over 23 years in the nail industry! Her experience has
taken her around the world as a working nail tech, mentor, organizer and
educator for several well know nail manufacturers. Since 2005 Simmy has been
working alongside Vicki Peters to bring top notch fundamental education in
acrylic, gel and Electric File Certification. She now directs the Electric
File Certification program that was founded by Peters.

Elaine
Watson
Elaine Watson's skill and expertise is in demand around the world. With visits to over 20 different countries, Elaine has taught the most advanced techniques and product knowledge to thousands of professionals. Her work is consistently featured in the pages and on the covers of the top trade magazines: Nailpro and Nails. She competes and acts as a judge in international competitions. She is active in the development and improvement of nail products and currently holds the positions of Star Nail International Vice President of Marketing and Global Education Director.

Laura Merzetti
Ajax, Ontario, Canada
Laura Merzetti has been a nail professional since 2003. After graduating
from a nail technology program, she chose to further her education by
achieving CND Grand Master status in 2008. She is a Minx educator and her
work has been published in Flare magazine. In 2009 she entered Canada's
Contessa awards and was a finalist in the Nail Art Technician category.
Laura's also entered the Strut Your Stuff Competition on two different
occasions. She is a contributing member of CNTC - Canadian Nail Tech
Connection, which holds networking events for nail technicians in Canada.
Laura is currently the Director of Education for Tuff Enuff Nails (Canada)
and continues to inspire and ignite the passion in her students and nail
techs around the world. She resides in Ajax, Ontario where she owns and
operates Scratch My Back Nail Studio.

Kelley Killop-Marble
Shelby Township, MI
Kelley Killop-Marble may be considered green on the nail scene, yet time
spent pursuing a marketing degree, countless years doing field marketing and
research, almost a decade in Detroit Radio Broadcasting-both behind a
microphone and in a promotional capacity, and of course that stint as a
pediatric and orthodontic assistant add up to a seasoned resume of solid
well-rounded business experience.
Killop-Marble now owns Opalized Designs Studio Salon in Shelby Township, MI
which opened in July 2009. Opalized Designs also houses quarterly meetings
for the networking group she founded late last year. W.H.E.N.N. (We have
Education Networking and Nails) meets every three months with the purpose of
educating Midwestern Nail Techs on business and technical aspects of the
industry.
Nails became a part of her mix in 2006 when Killop-Marble needed to make a
career switch to accommodate changing family dynamics! The flexibility of a
nail career fit with helping to raise three teen boys on a full time basis!
Time has shown that nails are easier than raising boys!

Melanie Mann
Coal Creek Canyon, CO
Melanie has been doing nails in the state of Colorado for almost 27 years.
She has over a dozen wins in various nail competitions in her region, and
was the 2nd place winner in the Strut Your Stuff #7, Senior Enhancement
division. After retiring from competitions, she became a judge at several
local shows. She teaches classes at a local nail supply, and has been an
educator for Entity Beauty, training under Tom Holcomb, Alisha Rimando,
Le-Ann Smith-Henderson, and Lorena Marquez.

Ann-Marie
Reaves
Ashby, MA
Ann-Marie has worked in a salon for 15 years doing
nails and most recently hair, facials, makeup for 4 years. Presently
Ann-Marie is teaching the Manicuring program for Henris School of Hair
Design in Fitchburg, MA.
A very busy girl, Reeves also hold the title of the Assistant Director of
Education for Star Nail International, Valencia, CA.
Ann-Marie also sits on the the Board of Advisors for the Cosmetology
Departments of 5 local Vocational High Schools.
