Carla
Collier
With 23 years of experience, Carla Collier
is recognized as a leading industry expert in competition and education
around the world. She is an international competition judge; head judge for
Nailpro Competitions; cover artist; and her work and writing is regularly
featured in the nail industry's top trade publications. Carla is a former
salon owner, retired competition champion and former products educator.
Leading industry manufacturers, publishing houses, competition directors and
entrepreneurs have sought her expert advice in product development,
competition and educational materials, such as training videos, textbooks
and educator training programs. In addition, she has taught and mentored
nail professionals across the globe. Carla skillfully balances her salon
work with competition judging, travel and teaching to stay on the cutting
edge of the nail industry.

Mindy Borrego
Granby, CT
Mindy received her Colorado manicuring license in 1987. Upon returning to her
home state of Connecticut in late 1988, she opened "Mindyfingers," a
nails-only salon the following year. She was the columnist of 'Net Notes for
Nailpro, and still serves as a member of that magazine's advisory board. In 1997
she was selected 1st runner-up for Nails magazine "Nail Technician of the
Year;" the following year she was 4th runner-up for Nailpro's "World's
Top Tech,"--the only nail tech to be so honored by both major industry
publications. She frequently judges nail competitions nationally as well as
internationally, and held the position of Head Judge for the Nailpro
competitions. She received her Creative Nail Design Master Nail Technician
certification in 1996. In addition, she is a Nailpro cover tech and has worked
on the set of Saturday Night Live doing nails on the guest artist. She can also
be found (occasionally in the lounge--with an Appletini in hand) on the annual
"Nail Those Profits at Sea" cruises.
Mindy was a nail technology instructor at the New England Center for Cosmetology
Education in Northampton, MA in 2006-2007. She also has a manicuring license
from the State of Massachusetts since 2006.

Vicki
Peters
Las Vegas, Nevada
As a nail technician she has wowed the industry with her
championship nails. As a cover artist and author her work has been published
more than any other nail tech in the history of nails. As an educator she has
coached nailtechs from Italy, Russia, Holland, Germany, China, Japan, Africa,
UK, Sweden, Trinidad, Croatia, Greece, Australia and the U.S. . As an industry
leader she has been a mentor to thousands. A world master nail technician, Vicki
will pioneer the industry to new levels.

Darlene Sammons
Chattanooga, Tennessee
Darlene is a cosmetologist and esthetician who has been doing nails for 26 years in Tennessee. She entered her first nail competition in 1996 in Atlanta. Her second competition she entered she placed 3rd in 1998 at the Great American Nail Faire. She has been a Creative Nail Design Master nailtech since 1996 and has worked in the past as an educator for Backscratchers Salon Systems, AEFM, and Vicki Peters Signature Series. She is currently the Director of Esthetics and Nail Technology at Miller-Motte Technical College in Chattanooga, TN and is an educator for Young Nails. She also has certificates in Reflexology, Neuromuscular therapy, hot stone therapy and is a certified Nailpro competition judge. She is a licensed massage therapist and maintains a small massage practice at her home.

Gloria
was one of those people who couldn't decide what she wanted to be when she
grew up. Having been encouraged to take doing her own wraps on her own nails
to a part-time job working for a friend in her salon. Gloria acquired her
nail tech license 9 years ago. Upon losing her full time job she went on to
open her own business. Having a passion for nails and educating her clients
as well as other nail artists in strict sanitation and sterilization
guidelines as well as nail techniques. Gloria became the VP of her local
Cosmetology Association as well as pursuing an educator position with NSI
(Nail Systems International) focusing mainly on Career Technical Institutes
and private schools.
She Claims “Some private schools and Vocational Technical schools lack
Cosmetologists” that are done nails in their career. "It is great to allow
students to see the creative side” allowing them to be artists through
acrylic and gel, “Not just do nails." Even though Gloria educates she still
takes continuing education classes. "It keeps me motivated and on the
cutting edge”. “We as educators need to raise the industry standards".
Her dream would be to open her own Nail school/supply store/salon to
properly educate future nail artists. Gloria in her spare time is a Party
Planner for Lia Shophia Jewelry & is trained in Reflexology, also when
weather allows, 2 wheels are much better than 4. |
Jaime
Schrabeck
Carmel, California
After more than 17 years in the nail industry, Jaime
Schrabeck continues to balance her work as a licensed manicurist with the
responsibilities of owning Precision Nails, an exclusive nails-only salon in
Carmel, California. Beyond the salon, Jaime promotes the nail profession by
writing savvy articles, consulting with leading manufacturers, judging
international competitions, training other salon owners and manicurists and
advising California?s Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.

Diana Bonn
Muncie, Indiana
Diana had been a competition judge for 4 years, trained by Vicki Peters.
She has been a nail technician for 12 years and owned her own salon for 8
years.
Since 2000, Diana has been an electric file educator, CEU educator for
Indiana, and an educator for Maly's and private accounts teaching OSHA,
State Laws, Diseases, Sanitation and also Nail Classes.
She currently is a member of the INTA task force, contributor to both
NAILS and Nail Pro magazines, had a hand in changing laws in several
states concerning MMA, and is a nail technician advisor for Indiana State
board of Cosmetology.

Ellen Torchia is the new owner of Too Much Fun airbrush and nail art company. An accomplished airbrush artist, Ellen is a previous Nails
Magazine to 10 nail competitor. Ellen has been an educator under Nancy King teaching electric file safety, sanitation,
disinfection and state law and a consultant/educator to Badger Airbrush company. She has been airbrushing makeup and temporary tattoos for 14 years with major corporate clients. Her passion for art lead her to becoming owner, with Marc Rosentha of a graphic art business where they produce custom printed garments, awards, signs, banners, promotional items and much more. Ellen is a licensed massage practitioner of 20 years and a licensed nail tech of 12 years. |

Juli Miller

Juli Miller is a veteran of the nail business. 19 years
as a licensed manicurist in California and Ohio, Juli is also a a salon
owner. She has been education coordinator of a major manufacturing
company, involved in education for the past 12 years, as well as a CE
provider for the OH State Board of Cosmetology. In over 23 years doing
nails, Juli has done work on numerous magazine covers, TV commercials,
print work and has worked as a judge and competition coordinator at many
nail competitions.

Slawomir Wos is the owner of Euro Fashion - one of the biggest
distributors and wholesalers of nail industry in Europe. Euro Fashion is
manor distributor of 30 American firms in Europe. Slawomir has specialized
in nails since 1995. He is an organizer of Polish Championships of Nails
Decorating "Nail Art" and "Nail Creations"- on feet
and International Championship of Nails Decorating "International
Nail Art". He was jury member 3 times in Nailpro Nai Art Championship
in Frankfurt and in 2003 in the Beautytech Strut Your Stuff. Everybody
knows his sense of beauty and esthetics and because of that he was
championships juror for many times. Slawomir is one of the very first
managers who represent nail industry in Poland and Europe. Probably
He is the only one male in Poland who knows everything
about nails. He's always happy to show people new ways of nail art that's
