Criteria
NO DEDUCTION FOR SINGLE MEDIA TYPE

______ 1. QUALITY OF SUBMISSION: 10 pts.
Clarity, sharpness, brightness, total visibility of artwork in the scan, as well as angle of view and minimal glare.
Essay: Concise, complete, Spell checked, All details included? Step-by-Step, Materials, paints. colors etc.
Close up: All nails have a matching theme or story, Minimum 4 nails in image?
______ 2. LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: 10 pts.
How difficult the technique or skill required to accomplish the nail art.
______ 3. ORIGINALITY: 10 pts.
Is this a fresh, creative and NEW idea? A new twist on an old idea?
______ 4. PRESENTATION: 10 pts.
Cover Shot: Worthy of a trade magazine cover? Nails Visible? Does submission conform to "theme", Is the "presentation shot" crisp, clear, original?
______ 5. PRECISION APPLICATION: 10 pts.
Images must be clearly defined in the artwork. Look for mastery of control of implements/tools used to accomplish design. Artwork that demonstrates contouring, shadowing and other unique techniques.
______ 6. CONSISTENCY: 10 pts.
Nail art is consistent in style and control. Color has a smooth, neat finished appearance.
______ 7. FINE ART APPEARANCE: 10 pts.
Images appear constant and do not have a "stenciled" appearance. Hand-cut stencil/ mask designs receive higher points than "out of the box" images.
______ 8. DIMENSIONAL QUALITIES: 10 pts.
Artwork that demonstrates contouring, shadowing and other unique techniques.
______ 9. USE OF COLOR: 10 pts.
Use of complimentary and contrasting color techniques; knowledge of color theory apparent in finished artwork.
